Rick is a retired bio-medical process designer, primarily medical device invention and implementation. He continues to consult and invent for the challenge and simple pleasure.
Rick’s qualifications as an inventor include:
- He built and managed his own company, Electronic Prescription Medicine, Inc., for 27 years, with his partner in business and marriage, Janet, where his focus was design and implementation of products/automation for more than 25 start-up companies.
- He has participated in procuring numerous patents as co-designer/inventor/engineer in product design and turnkey manufacturing and implementation.
- He was a charter and founding member of Minnesota Medical Alley Association, serving on the International Committee and Manufacturing Committee for many years.
- Rick has worked on design teams with Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing (3M), Medtronic, Cardiac Pacemakers and Mayo Clinic Medical Ventures, as well as other industry leaders.
